1 (18.25 ounces) vanilla or French vanilla box cake mix, unprepared
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup dried mixed berry fruit, chopped to 1/2 inch pieces, soaked in hot water for 30 minutes, and thoroughly drained
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup miniature chocolate chips

Using a large dinner fork, combine cake mix with vegetable oil and eggs. Mixture will be thick. Resist the urge to add any liquid. Fold in drained dried berries, pecans, and miniature chocolate chips. Chill dough for 30 to 60 minutes.
