Apple Baked Beans Recipe
1/2 cup prepared ketchup
1/4 cup yellow prepared mustard
1 Tablespoon molasses (may substitute dark corn syrup)
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3 (16 ounces each) cans pork and beans, drained
2 Red Delicious apples, peeled, cored, and chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
1 medium sweet onion, chopped
6 slices lean center cut thin bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces (see Notes)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a glass baking dish (round or oblong is fine) with vegetable oil.
Whisk together the ketchup, mustard, molasses, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir this mixture into the beans, apples, and onions. Top with the bacon pieces.
Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir the bacon pieces into the beans. Return to the oven and bake an additional 15 minutes. Let rest 15 minutes before serving.

Make these apple baked beans in advance, if you wish. Reheat in a 350 F oven about 30 minutes until heated through. Recipe may be doubled, but adjust baking time upward accordingly.

• Turkey bacon may be substituted for pork bacon.
